Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Less List mobile application ("App") and the Less List website at lesslist.app ("Website", together the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Less List is a deliberately minimal list app. It gives you exactly four lists, stored locally on your device. The Website is a marketing and information site about the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm you meet that requirement.

3. Your content

Anything you type into Less List — list items, list names, notes — is your content. It is stored on your device. We don't claim ownership of it, we don't collect it, and we don't transmit it to our servers.

Because your content lives on your device, you are responsible for backing it up. Uninstalling the App, clearing app data, or losing the device may permanently delete your lists.

4. License

App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use.

Website

The Website and its content are provided for your personal, informational use. You may not copy, scrape, or republish substantial portions without permission.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where the law expressly allows it.
• Use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights.
• Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Service, the Website, or anyone else's use of either.
• Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

6. Purchases

The App may be offered as a paid download or with optional one-time purchases through the Apple App Store. Pricing, billing, refunds, and cancellation for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. We don't process card payments ourselves.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including the Less List name, logo, design, and software, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms don't transfer any of those rights to you.

8. Updates and changes

We may release updates to the App and changes to the Website at any time. We may also change these Terms; if we do, we'll update the date at the top and, for material changes, give reasonable notice in the App or on the Website. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 20, whichever is greater.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence to the extent required by mandatory consumer law, and otherwise by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
