Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 7, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how the Less List website at lesslist.app ("Website") uses cookies and similar storage technologies. The Less List mobile app does not use cookies — it stores your lists in local storage on your device, which is covered in our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between page loads (like your theme choice) or measure how the site is used. "Similar technologies" include localStorage and sessionStorage, which work the same way for the purposes of this policy.
What we use
We try to keep this short. The Website uses two categories of storage:
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to work — for example, remembering that you dismissed the cookie banner, or that you chose dark mode. They don't track you across other sites.
- cookie_consent — stores your choice on the cookie banner. Up to 12 months.
- theme — remembers your light/dark preference. Up to 12 months.
Analytics (optional)
If you accept, we use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count page views and understand which content people read. It does not build an advertising profile of you and does not share data with ad networks. Where required by law, this is only loaded after consent.
What we don't use
- No advertising cookies.
- No cross-site tracking pixels.
- No social network "like" trackers.
- No fingerprinting.
Managing cookies
You can change or withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage may make parts of the Website (like remembering your theme) stop working as expected.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the Website.
